Travelling to Byron Bay
Whether you’re visiting from overseas, or just cruising through Byron on your East Coast adventure, transport options are abundant.
Situated in the Northern region of New South Wales, you can drive directly into town off the Pacific Highway.
From Sydney drive 800kms north (8-10 hours), or take your time and pull the caravan into a few of the picturesque towns on the way.
If you’re driving south from Brisbane, 170kms, you can make it in 2 hours bypassing Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast.
Flying
Most Domestic flights will fly into Ballina Airport (30mins South). And from here it’s approximately $15 shuttle bus ride with Xcede Shuttle.
All shuttle services will pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation or in the centre of town at the Tourist Information Centre.
Alternatively the Gold Coast Airport (50mins North), is often a more economical option for domestic flights and some internationals from Asia and New Zealand.
